All operational cost reporting activities in the Netherlands are being handled centrally in one team given they are similar in nature for all business units and Head Office. The recently established Cost Reporting Centre reports to the Reporting Centre as a separate
team within the Finance department at the Group.
The focus of the Reporting Centre is on accuracy, correctness and timely delivery, continuous improvement of processes, automation and execution of controls.
The Cost Reporting Centre:
· is responsible for making sure that all cost data is timely, accurate and complete, and that this is reconciled with source systems (General Ledger, HR systems, etc)
· is responsible for the preparation of all cost reports for Life, Non Life, Bank and Group,
· takes care of the full planning and control cycle for cost reporting
· is responsible for the execution, development and maintenance of the cost reporting systems, databases and cockpit reporting.
· prepares a first analysis on cost evolutions (actual, budget and forecast)
· is responsible for preparing initial MTP and forecast data, templates and reporting which is used by cost analysis teams to challenge the business
· is responsible for executing cost allocation processes (including InterBU process)
Your main responsibilities
In this position you are responsible for:
· initiating and coordinating the cost reporting process, and setting up and consolidating the reports
· setting up the cost reporting processes, including the implementation and supervision of timelines and maintenance of this processes
· advising about the setup and maintenance of cost reporting processes, cost databases and reporting cockpits
· delivering an adequate (technical) infrastructure in order to gather the correct (aggregated) cost management information
· Responsible for overall first analysis of expenses
· discussing the required reports and processes with finance partners and senior management
· coaching the more junior colleagues regarding process and reporting improvements
Your profile
· Academic degree in finance (business economics, RC)
· At least 7 years of relevant experience in the area of management reporting in an insurance and/or investment management environment
· Experience with reporting processes and reporting tools
· Project management skills
· Fluent in Dutch and English
